****NEW REQUIRED INFORMATION FOR GAME RESCHEDULING****
SNBMHL Game rescheduling process
Email snbmhlgamereschedule@gmail.com
U9-U18
All requests for games to be rescheduled are to be approved by the SNBMHL VP prior to alternate arrangements being made by either team.
Subject line must contain the Game #
A separate email must be sent for each game requesting to be rescheduled.
Include the following in the email request:
- Date and time of Game
- Reason for reschedule request
- Include contact person (manager/coach) from the other team in the email chain
- The requestor must Identify the age division and the team they are associated with.
- Home team is responsible for notifying their officials/referee scheduler of the change of schedule.
Emails without the proper information will be returned to the sender and the request will not be processed until all information is provided.
Games that are approved for rescheduling must be played within the proper half of the season but there is no time frame (1 week, 3 weeks etc). The ice schedulers will provide an alternative date and time for the rescheduled game; this may take some time as there are many factors they must work around including the number of ice times available and the number of games they must reschedule and/or official availability. If there are no league games scheduled or tournament games scheduled on the proposed new date, there will not be an option to refuse.
Games will not be rescheduled for:
- A shortage of team volunteers. (Cases of shortage of players will reviewed on a case by case basis by League President)
- A conflicting practice has previously been arranged.
- A team function has been planned.
- A conflicting exhibition game has previously been arranged.
- "That will give us too many games within a close period."
- "The game means nothing to us."
- "It's an exhibition game and does not count."
PROCEDURE FOR INCLIMATE WEATHER
Only the visiting team (traveling team) can request a reschedule. Please allow approximately 4 hours notice. For example, requests being submitted with more than 4 hours notice will not be reviewed until 4 hours before game time and games that are requested to be scheduled within one hour of start time will not be entertained..
1. Visiting team coach/manager requesting rescheduling due to weather notifies the home team Coach/Manager (can be by phone but must be followed up by email) and the VP of SNBMHL (via email address above) with the game number in the subject line. The content of the email must clearly identify the age division, the team names, location and time.
2. The Home team notifies ice scheduler/ Referee scheduler of cancellation. (Follow your Association's guidelines for canceling officials/ice times.)
3. Once the league has approved the reschedule request the home team's ice scheduler will provide an optional date and time for the game to be played. ( See above for notes) and the website will be updated with an agreed upon date. In most situations the maximum of two alternate game dates and times will be offered. As the season progresses, ice schedulers may offer only one date and time. If the team does not have a league game scheduled, refusal of a new date and time will not be an option.
Please review Bylaw 3.17 in the SNBMHL Constitution for the consequences for failure of completing the process outlined by the league for rescheduling/ canceling games.
This process may be updated throughout the season. Check with the SNBMHL website for any updates.

U9 COACHES
A "U9 Rules" tab has been added above. Please read as teams in NB are to follow these for regular & jamboree games. Absolutely no exceptions. If a coach does not adhere to the playing rules as outlined in the HNB Novice Half Ice document the association in conjunction with the district director may remove any coach from a roster. Please note: Bumper Pads are to be placed on the red line.
